Welcome to AMMIS Foundation

At AMMIS Foundation Uganda, we believe that education is the most powerful tool we can use to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting change. We are deeply committed to supporting underprivileged children in rural Uganda by ensuring they have access to essential scholastic materials and tuition support. We understand that without the basic tools to attend school, many children are left behind—robbed of their potential before they even have a chance to begin.

In Uganda’s rural communities, thousands of children face educational barriers due to financial hardship. These barriers include the inability to afford books, uniforms, writing materials, and school fees. At AMMIS Foundation Uganda, we address these challenges directly by providing practical, consistent, and targeted support that enables children not only to attend school but to thrive academically and emotionally.

We invite you to join us in our mission to empower children, restore hope, and transform communities through education. Your support—whether through donations, partnerships, or volunteering—makes it possible for us to keep children in school and give them the tools they need to succeed.

Ayesiga Shivan Amooti's story

Her mother always struggled to get her scholastic materials and because of this, she sometimes reported late for new terms. Ammis Foundation was touched by Shivan's story especially the fact that even when faced with such challenges, she still managed to excel academically. Shivan was taken up by Ammis Foundation from P.3 and currently in P.5. She has been receiving all the basic scholastic support she needs. This has impacted her social life and self esteem at school as she is now confident that she will not miss class or delay to report to school because of scholastic materials. Her academic performance has also enormously improved, always being among the top 3 in her class.
